Ken Wallace – Company Director
Ken is a Company Director of Wallace Building Contractors. Ken decided to move the company from carpentry to specialising in concrete construction back in the early 90s. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He enjoys the day to day contact he gets with his boys onsite and because of this is always ahead of the game when construction issues arrive.
Amy Wallace – Office Manager
Amy is responsible for the day to day running of Wallace Building Contractors. Amy has a background in insurance underwriting and she brings a professional approach to the high level of compliance required in a modern construction company.
Carissa is our office administrator; she provides office support to the team and helps with the smooth-running of the business. Carissa previously worked as a Paralegal in an Australian Law Firm.
Rani Grace – Quantity Surveyor
Rani is our head Quantity Surveyor. He has a National Diploma in Construction Level 6 – Quantity Surveying. He previously worked for Forman Building Systems as a Sales Co-Ordinator. He also has a residential construction background doing carpentry.
Matt is a Commercial Manager at Wallace Building Contractors and assist’s the directors with day-to-day operations and provides support to our Site Managers. Matt has worked in both the civil and construction sectors for many years, including 6 years project management in Australia. Matt holds a Diploma in Architectural Technology and extensive knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and is proficient in MS Project and AutoCAD.
Ben Burns – Contract Manager
Ben is a Contract Manager at Wallace Building Contractors and has been with us since 2013. He has a vast knowledge of concrete construction and manages a large team on many of our high-profile sites. He plays a critical role for our organisation liaising with our customers and employees. Ben expects the best of his team and as a result produces a high productivity rate.
Brady McMinn – Contract Manager
Brady is a Contract Manager for Wallace Building Contractors. He started working for Wallace while completing his Apprenticeship over 20 years ago. Brady has managed and completed many large high-profile jobs and is an integral part of the team. He manages a large team and always expects a high standard of workmanship.
Mark Bloomfield – Plant Manager
Mark has over 30 years in the Construction industry and has been with Wallace since 2001. Mark is based at our company workshop in Porirua. He has a team of five workshop staff who manufacture construction items and formwork needed on site. He ensures all onsite staff have materials and plant available to them and will organise repairs to any plant needed. He is a qualified carpenter and has qualifications in electrical certification and Health and Safety.
Alistair has worked on commercial and civil projects for the last 35 years in New Zealand and Australia and been with Wallace Building Contractors since 2001. He has completed a number of unique contracts while working with Wallace Building Contractors. Alistair completed the concrete works at One Market Lane and was also our Foreman on the Wellington Airport Carpark. He is currently working on the seismic upgrade at the Wellington Townhall.
Calum Bron – Site Foreman
Calum joined the team in 2016 and has had great progression within Wallace Building Contractors. Calum received his National Certificate in Concrete Construction Level 4 in 2020 and received a Certificate of Recognition on being Highly Commended in the 2019 Concrete Apprentice of the Year. Calum is now running his own team on some of our large projects.
Colin Daly – Site Foreman
Colin joined Wallace Building Contractors in 2019. Originally from Ireland after a brief stint in Australia he now calls NZ home. Colin impresses with his hardworking attributes making sure the job gets done on time. He’s well respected by his staff ad project managers.
Sean Rigby – Site Foreman
With years’ experience in Commercial Construction, Sean started with us as a Leading Hand Carpenter back in 2017. With his focus on achieving high quality and efficient Concrete Construction he has progressed through the company and is now leading his own team and projects around Wellington.
Scott runs our ComFlor division, Wellington Studwelders Ltd. With a team of specialist installation staff he works on projects for Wallace Building and multiple Main Contractors around Wellington. His team have installed over 100,000m2 of ComFlor on some of Wellington’s largest construction projects.
