The Brief
Wallace Building Contractors delivered the concrete construction works for Cube Apartments, a nine-storey student accommodation development located close to Massey University in central Wellington.
Designed to provide modern apartment living for students, the building incorporated reinforced concrete shear walls as the primary structural and seismic-resisting system, together with Stahlton rib flooring throughout the development. The combination of these construction systems provided an efficient, durable, and resilient structure well suited to high-density residential accommodation.
Located within Wellington's education precinct, the project contributed to the growing demand for purpose-built student housing in the city and provided quality accommodation within walking distance of tertiary education facilities.
