The Brief
Wallace Building Contractors delivered the concrete structure for the Hyde Lane Apartments development, a 12-storey residential tower in central Wellington.
Our scope included the construction of approximately 8,400m² of reinforced concrete floor slabs, foundations, core structures, and specialist concrete elements required to support the multi-storey development. Early works included the construction of a high-strength tower crane foundation, incorporating specialised concrete mixes and heat mitigation measures to achieve accelerated strength requirements and maintain programme milestones.
From foundation construction through to the penthouse level, the project required careful planning, sequencing, and coordination to maintain progress on a demanding programme. The successful delivery of the concrete structure provided the platform for the development of high-quality residential apartments in the heart of Wellington.
