The Brief
Wallace Building Contractors delivered the concrete construction works for the Piermont and Monument Apartments development, a major residential project comprising 146 apartments across two multi-storey towers.
The 10-storey development was constructed on a footprint of approximately 2,500m² and incorporated an underground basement car park with reinforced concrete perimeter walls and foundations extending 1.2 metres below sea level. The project was designed as a shared podium structure extending to Level 2, supporting two separate eight-storey residential towers above.
A significant feature of the development was the extensive reinforced concrete core wall system within each tower, providing the primary structural and seismic resistance for the buildings. The project also included substantial lift core foundation pads, each measuring approximately 600m³ and 1.6 metres deep, together with large-scale in-situ concrete foundations, walls, and structural elements throughout the complex.
