The Brief
Wallace Building Contractors delivered the concrete construction works for multiple stages of the Summerset Boulcott Village development, one of the largest retirement village projects in the Wellington region.
Since 2021, our team has completed the concrete structures for numerous apartment buildings across the site, contributing to more than 28,000m² of new residential construction. The project included foundations, raft slabs, basement retaining walls, beams, columns, and multi-storey concrete structures ranging from three to six levels in height. A key component of the development was the construction of a six-storey, 10,000m² apartment building incorporating a substantial 1,500m³ reinforced concrete raft slab and extensive in-situ concrete elements.
Delivered across multiple construction stages within an active retirement village environment, the project required careful planning, sequencing, and coordination to maintain programme efficiency while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.
This project highlights Wallace Building Contractors' expertise in large-scale residential and aged-care developments, delivering complex reinforced concrete structures that support modern living environments for residents and the wider community.
