The Brief
Wallace Building Contractors delivered the concrete construction and ComFlor flooring installation for The Peak Apartments, an 11-storey residential development in central Wellington.
Working closely with the project team, Wallace developed and implemented a construction methodology designed to accelerate the programme and maximise construction efficiency. The project utilised ComFlor 80 steel tray flooring systems together with Wallace's steel formwork shear wall system, enabling rapid progression of the reinforced concrete structure while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Following completion of the piling works immediately prior to Christmas, Wallace maintained construction activities through the holiday period to prepare the site for structural steel installation. Through careful planning, innovative construction methods, and strong project coordination, the building structure reached Level 11 more than two months ahead of programme.
