The Brief
Wallace Building Contractors delivered the concrete construction works for The Portal Apartments, a 10-storey residential development located on Wellington's waterfront precinct.
The project incorporated an underground basement level together with a reinforced concrete structural system featuring large external concrete walls that provided both architectural presence and structural performance. The floor structure utilised a Stahlton rib flooring system, creating an efficient and durable solution for the multi-storey apartment building.
Construction of the development required careful coordination of basement works, structural concrete elements, and floor systems to deliver a high-quality residential building in a prominent inner-city location.
