The Brief
Wallace Building Contractors delivered the precast concrete package and structural concrete works for the WelTec School of Construction, a purpose-built training facility designed to support the next generation of construction professionals.
With precast manufacturing capacity in high demand across the Wellington region, Wallace developed an innovative solution by manufacturing the project's 52 precast concrete panels on site. This approach enabled the project programme to be maintained while ensuring quality and delivery requirements were achieved.
In addition to the precast package, our team constructed the mezzanine floor structure, including large 350mm thick in-situ cantilevered concrete slabs. The combination of on-site precast manufacturing and structural concrete construction required careful planning, coordination, and technical expertise throughout the project.
