The Brief
Wallace Building Contractors delivered the concrete works and ComFlor flooring installation for the strengthening and expansion of the former Ansett Terminal at Wellington Airport.
Our scope included the construction of new reinforced concrete foundations, shear walls, and ComFlor suspended floor slabs as part of the redevelopment and seismic strengthening of the existing structure. The project required careful planning and coordination within a constrained site located between the international terminal and adjacent hotel facilities, while maintaining operations within a busy airport environment.
Working within an active transport hub demanded a strong focus on safety, logistics, and programme management to minimise disruption while delivering high-quality construction outcomes.
